Thinner, lighter, stronger: the 4th generation is here

In recent years, Xiaomi has already proven with the Mix Fold series that they are capable of developing beautiful, slim and, above all, powerful foldables. In the fourth generation, the technical progress culminates in an extremely thin and light design that makes Samsung look old - literally. The technical gem is now on the virtual shelf at TradingShenzhen and can be ordered immediately.

And it does work!

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 shows the way: A fully usable front screen, as light as a current flagship smartphone and only slightly thicker. The foldable smartphone measures a compact 159.37 x 73.1 x 9.47 mm when folded. The weight is low at 226 g. The front has a fully usable display with a central punch hole and narrow display edges. When unfolded, the thickness is reduced to just 4.59 mm. The back features a quad camera setup and is kept rather simple apart from that.

Bright, high-resolution, fast

As befits a foldable, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 has placed its main focus on the display. When folded, it has a 6.56-inch AMOLED panel with 120 Hz and a resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels. The aspect ratio is standard and can therefore be used without restriction. When opened, the user has a 7.98-inch AMOLED display, also with 120 Hz and a resolution of 2488 x 2224 pixels. Both panels cover 100% of the DCI-P3 color space, offer a maximum brightness of 3000 nits and support HDR10+, HDR Vivid and Dolby Vision. The sampling rate for both displays is 240 Hz.

Qualcomm´s best

It almost goes without saying that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 relies on the best from Qualcomm - just like the years before it. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 clocks at up to 3.4 GHz and is accompanied by an Adreno 750 GPU. Also on board is 16 GB LPDD5X RAM for smooth multitasking. The internal memory is generously sized at 512 GB and is pleasantly fast thanks to UFS 4.0 technology. Mobile games of the demanding variety are therefore not a real challenge for the foldable and will not become one in the foreseeable future.  

Simply better in all respects

Even more compact, even lighter, even more durable - the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 has been improved in all areas and is both lighter and more compact than its predecessor!

Quad camera Setup

In cooperation, Xiaomi offers one of the most powerful camera setups on the market. In the fourth generation, the Leica Summilux cameras have finally arrived in the foldables. The main sensor is a fast Sony 50 megapixel Light Hunter 800 sensor with f/1.7 aperture and OIS. For panoramic shots, the manufacturer from the Far East relies on a 12 megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 120 degree shooting angle. The zoom is realized via a 50 megapixel telephoto lens with a specially developed floating lens. Particularly distant objects can be captured with the 10 megapixel periscope camera with f/2.9 aperture and OIS. A 5x optical zoom is offered here. A 16 megapixel sensor can also be used for selfies on both the front and inner display.

The battery has grown

However, not only the camera, but also the internal power source has been updated. The built-in battery has grown by 300 mAh to a whopping 5100 mAh, significantly extending the usage time without a power cable. Charging is via USB C cable with up to 67 W. Wireless charging is also supported. At 50 W, the charging process is only minimally extended.

Perfectly equipped

The Xiaomi Mix Fold leaves nothing to be desired in terms of features. You can always surf on the fastest network. Whether in the mobile network via Dual 5G support or within known local networks via WiFi 7. Smartwatches, wireless headphones and other gadgets connect to the foldable via Bluetooth 5.4. NFC for contactless payment is of course also possible. High-quality speakers, IPX8 certification and HyperOS round off the package.
