It could hardly be more elegant

Indeed, Xiaomi has placed special emphasis on an elegant design with the Mi Mix Fold 3, just like with the predecessors. The manufacturer from the Far East has also managed exactly that in the third generation. The extremely thin case for a foldable is already noticeable when folded. The case of the foldable everyday companion only measures 10.96 mm. However, it is only 5.26 mm thick when unfolded and reminds us of the Motorola RAZR. The display's dimensions are gigantic. When unfolded, the device is pleasantly large at 161.2 x 73.55 x 5.36 mm and reaches the size of a tablet. The weight of 259 g is moderate.

Fully usable front display

While the outer display already looks compact with 6.56 inches, the inner display offers a full 8.03 inches and is therefore similar to a tablet. The resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels or 2160 x 1916 pixels is of course crisp. The folding mechanism has been revised once again and is now not only more robust, but also much more stable. Only the best is considered in terms of performance. Xiaomi's flagship is based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The Octa Core CPU is accompanied by an Adreno GPU and clocks with up to 3.2 GHz. Thanks to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, multitasking is no problem at all. The internal storage is generous at 512 GB. Of course, Xiaomi relies on UFS 4.0 technology here and therefore promises maximum data transfer rates. In short: The Mi Mix Fold 3 is absolutely future-proof!

Fast charging even without cable

The Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold 3 is packed with up-to-date technology, pleasantly compact and lightweight. Nevertheless, the manufacturer from China has managed to install a large battery that supports Fast Charge both via cable and wireless. The internal power source is pleasantly large with 4800 mAh. Thus, runtimes of one day and more are no problem. Via USB C cable, the battery can be charged with up to 67W via Super Charge. Wireless Charge is hardly slower: Up to 50 W Fast Charge is possible here.

Surfing the fastest network

Not surprisingly, the Mi Mix Fold 3 offers all the standards that can be expected from a flagship. Thanks to dual 5G support as well as WiFi 6 Encanced and WiFi 7, browsing is possible in the fastest network. Contactless payment via NFC is no problem at all. Wireless headphones, smartwatches and other gadgets can be connected via Bluetooth 5.3. High-quality stereo speakers ensure a decent sound for music and video playback. Xiaomi relies on MIUI 14 as the operating system.
